Mynah bird stuck in my roof vent, how to get it out?.

Poor bastard, got on the roof to have a look and see if I can get it out and although the exhaust vent is capped this bird has managed to get itself down it and cant get out, its about 6 foot down and in an area with no roof space and behind the wall of my kitchen were the stove used to be and obviously whom ever did it just blocked the old exhaust hood up and is now built in cupboards but we can here is moving about and calling out and its mate is hanging around the vent on the roof calling back to it.
Called the RSPCA and bird rescue place but as it’s a Mynah bird and considered vermin here in Sydney there not really interested, feel a bit of a cunt but its going to die down there unless I can think of a way to get it out without demolishing a part of my kitchen or roof, asked the RSPCA how would be the best way to euthanasia it seeing as they were not that interested but all they said was call a pest controller who could maybe drop some poison or something, fuck that, so thought I would ask the good folk of WHO?
Any suggestions on how to free it or failing that kill it quickly and humanly, remembering it’s about 6 foot down the pipe

Pour some petrol down the vent, and drop a lighted match down there.
And then thank me after the fire brigade have left.

Sydney. They are pests but like you, would want to rescue it. Can you try to drop fishing line, with a hook, and hook it out. It might be painful for the bird, and you, but you maybe able to rescue it this way.

Fucking hell, two bird brains trying to rescue a bird!
If you get that bird stuck on a fish hook, I'll venture that it is unlikely to remain calm, and will be mortally injured in the ensuing kerfuffle.

As they're naturally very clever, I suggest you drop your mobile phone down to it and wait for it to work out how to call the emergency services in the style of a frightened kidnapped child.

Well im having break from fishing on the roof, but have brought up 3 dead bodies so far, all dried out, but strangely can’t catch this live fucker!
Getting a few funny looks from neighbours and passing cars and im sure the cops are going to arrive soon to check out someone fishing on there roof, also hot as fuck and bright sunshine so not good for my lilywhite English skin.
Got the chicken wire out as well to cover the gap, don’t want this happening again.

This is possibly the first ask-for-practical-help thread that WHO has not been able to resolve. And that includes the fishing hook suggestion, however well intentioned it was.

Put an old sock over the end of your hoover nozzle and tape it up so it doesn't come loose. Stick it on full power and lower it down.

Well he’s out, whether he’s going to survive though maybe another matter, hot as fuck down there so he’s probably dehydrated and cooked a bit, then he’s been hooked and dragged back up the vent going mental, then ive removed the hook so he has sustained an injury from that as well not to mention what he’s done from all the flapping about, but he seems to be able to fly, not that well but he’s has fucked off into some bushes

Maybe we could work on the ISIL threat or a solution to world poverty next?

I can't believe how stupid the suggestions have been so far.
Clearly you need a tiny fireman with a suitable harness that can be lowered down the pipe, strap the bird in and hoist it to safety.
Or maybe a very small rope ladder?
